Jaroslav Novak ( February 16, 1914, Prague - March 8, 1984, Prague ) painter, graphic artist, set designer

He studied with prof. Willy Nowak and Otakar Nejedly at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague in the years 1934 - 1939, and in 1936 also in the studio of prof. Othon Friesz at the Académie Nouvelle in Paris. Member of the Association of Czech Graphic Artists Hollar since 1946. He devoted himself to painting, free, used and small graphics, and free drawing. He dealt with landscape painting, the creation of still lifes and bouquets, portraits - especially portraits of his father, the composer Vitezslav Novak. He has collaborated with the National Theater and the Brno Theater since 1938. Represented in the collections of the Gallery of the Capital City of Prague.
