Josef Liesler ( September 19, 1912 in Vidolice near Kadan - August 23, 2005 in Prague ) painter, graphic artist

studied drawing professor at prof. Bouda, Blazicek and Sejpka at VSAPS CVUT in Prague ( 1934 - 1938 ) . It symbolizes the continuity of the pre-war and post-war development and the traditions of art associations in the Czech Republic. He draws his artistic inspiration mainly from literature, theater and music. The combination of the traditional concept of the figure and the still life transposed into an allegorical-symbolic position (surrealistic visionary vision) underlines the work with smooth painting using the techniques of the old masters.
She has won numerous awards and awards for her postage stamp work - the most beautiful stamp in the UNESCO world heritage. He was elected honorary member of the Florence Academy, a member of the Royal Belgian Academy. Represented in the collections of the National Gallery and many other Czech and foreign, state and private.
