Alois Janecek - Pardubsky ( December 3, 1894 in Prague, Žižkov - September 18, 1974 in Brandys nad Labem ) painter and theater designer

He spent most of his life in Uvaly and Jirny. He studied painting in Munich under Professor Schumann. During his study trips he stayed in Moravia, Slovakia, Dalmatia, Bosnia and Austria. He painted mainly landscapes and genre motifs - Polabi, Posazavi, Podkrkonosi and also motifs from Rab in Dalmatia. He exhibited in Trebechovice, Hradec Králové, Zbraslav, Kladno, Pribyslav and Uvaly. He had a comprehensive exhibition in 1950 in Celakovice.
