Karel Lastovka ( February 15, 1938 in Prague - November 3, 1986 ) painter, graphic artist, illustrator

He studied at the Secondary School of Arts in Prague and under Professor A. Strnadel at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague from 1957 to 1963. He was interested in drawing, painting, graphics and illustration. His work was characterized by the combination of figural elements with attributes and signs accompanying civilization, the use of fine old-fashioned staining colors with the suppression of the brush manuscript. The paintings, drawings and prints were created in cycles as an imaginary accompaniment to the poetic text. Solo exhibitions in Prague 1965, 1967, 1973, in Munich 1973, 1974 in Most, 1975 in Brno. Collective exhibitions - 1965 Cologne, 1966 Brno, 1969 Melnik, 1971 Tokyo, 1972 Brno.
